Apr. 24th, 2004 11:43 pmYou know, eventually I'll have to have a bad night out on Fridays. But last night wasn't one. I danced, I helped celebrate a birthday, I made some new friends. I, eye, aye. Okay, enough.
Saturday was a balmy sunny day. There was a mixture of indoor and outdoor fun. The drive out to Waltham wound through back bumpy roads, and a snare of traffic in Waltham itself. One of my Warhammer buddies is moving to Florida in a week or two, so we had one last battle before he left. He took an early lead, but my Skaven made a ferocious comeback. The battle ended in a draw, and more importantly was a lot of fun and a memorable event. The rest of the day was spent re-basing the Skaven army, mopping the kitchen, and watching Signs. It was a very enjoyable movie, his influences (the Birds, Night of the Living Dead, Invasion of the Body Snatchers) were woven together nicely, and Joaquin Phoenix is always enjoyable.
I toyed with the idea of Defmatch, or inviting some people over for movies, but today is a solitary day. Which is just fine by me.
