Welcome back, stranger.

The aches, runny nose, and dizziness tried to drag me down, but my body persevered. My cold is all but gone. This coincides nicely with the end of the week, the return of my fully armed and operational cthulu skirt, and my impending haircut. The old brain has spent a lot of time processing, and sometime in deliberate idling. You can't change your life in three weeks, but you can get perspective. You can also dust, and clean, and straighten up the place. Cleaning always puts me in a better mood.

Amazingly for me, I woke up at 6 to go to the gym before work today. I'm pleased to say I'm still awake, and looking forward to the evening. The entire weekend is shaping up to be pretty spectacular, come to think of it.

Watching myself shave last night was very entertaining. The "gamer beard" I was cultivated vanished by inches, becoming more of a heavy shadow. That vanished under a layer of foam, and in the end there was nothing but smooth skin. I smiled at myself, not missing the scraping and sliding that I got with the beard. After about another week, I might have grown accustomed to it. Future experiments in beard growth could occur, once I get the right tools. If there are any more pirate parties, that will influence my decision as well.
