Friday saw the running of a damn good mage game (If you thrown enough elements in from different movies into the soup, it becomes an entirely new creation). The ramp up towards the end of the campaign is in full gear. After game, I braved the catcalls and stares of passersby by wearing my bondage skirt to ManRay. It was moderately crowded, the music was good, and there were many familiar faces. A huge difference from two nights ago.
Saturday: Shopping hell, followed by a quickly made chicken and mushroom fricassee and sangria. These were my contributions to the party held to honor Mobilejessie's birthday. It was an extremely pleasant evening. Old friends, new friends, fine food, and only a small sprinkling of game humor.
Sunday: Temple of Elemental Evil is my new time sink. I enjoyed some season 5 Buffy episodes (did you know that Tom Lenk aka Andrew from seasons 6 and 7 got his start on the show as a member of Harmony's minions? It's true!) and then settled in for Battlestar Galactica. I nicely done show, the space dogfights were very different than traditional space battles. They were also taking the low to no sound cue from Firefly.
A very visceral film, and not entirely hopeful? Here's hoping that fan response is big enough to bring a series out of it.
My Very Cool Plans for tonight have been delayed a day, but that just fine. I might throw some cards around, and then try to dance w/out slipping on the wet dance floor. And in the end, somewhere, will be sleep.
