the ravages of age?
Nov. 18th, 2003 09:04 amIt was about 11:30, and I picked up my cards. It was a little too late to hop out to Ceremony for an hour, especially if I wanted to change my clothes, and I should get to bed before long anyhow. The blustery night air chilled me, yet didn't dispel the fatigue that clung to me like an overprotective lover. (whoa. a little too pretentious.) It was cold. I didn't wake up (nope. Too Hemmingway.) To make a long and very uneventful story short, I started putting some cards away and pulling out ones I was never going to use, and the end result was that 1:45 rolled around by the time I turned out the light.
I was bemoaning the fact that I was getting too old to go clubbing 2 or 3 nights a week, or that starting my week with 5 hours of sleep wasn't appealing. Here I am. 5 hours of sleep later. I don't feel much different from the nights that I have 7 hours of sleep.
Guess I'm not over the hill yet!
