How painting saved my evening
Jun. 4th, 2003 03:31 pmDespite having lost my wallet, I had a fairly level head. I wanted to throw something or hit something, but by the time I raised my fist I just lost the impulse. I decided to just fold up my clothes instead of hurling them at something. I called my dad and talked to him a bit, he gave me some encouraging words, but I felt the downward spiral continue. I knew that I needed a distraction. So, I picked up my paintbrushes and decided to do a little detailing work on some Space Marines. The thing is, I couldn't remember which shoulder pad was supposed to get the chapter symbol. I walked back into my room and pulled the Space Marine codex from my bookshelf. Another book I had laid on top of it started to fall out, so I adjusted it.
And saw something move on top of it.
I pulled the book out slowly.
It had an invitation to a cookout on it. ( Which was covering something else. )
