Catching up
Jan. 4th, 2003 10:06 amI finished my new Dark Elf army. Done. I'm very pleased with the results. Now, what will I work on next?
I also picked up my amplifier/receiver. Damn those things are expensive now. Had I know I would have needed it, I might have held off on buying the cd player and speakers. Well, it is done now, and when my roommate leaves that will be one less thing I need to replace. And it is a pretty nice setup: a Marantz surround CS4300 amplifier, Sony 5 disk CD/DVD changer, and Cambridge Soundworks M80 bookshelf speakers.
The first song I played on my old stereo was Subdivision by Rush. The first song played (successfully) on the new system was by I've, a Japanese techno outfit. I played Worlock on it before that, but that was when I discovered the amplifier was dying...
The rest of friday night was nicely laid back, working on my year in review project, listening to IPMradio and hearing a great trance band: astral projection. Anyone heard of them before? I'll be seeking the album I heard (Amen) shortly.
