Quite a dramatic turnaround a mostly sleepless night makes. More nightmares aside, I was awake and functioning when Brian arrived (early!) to travel to our Warhammer tounrament in Providence today. We jetted over to pick up Mike and Jim, and departed south for Adventure!
I was then reminded why I don't drink tea by itself in the morning, after not eating for twelve hours. I managed to quell my rebellious stomach until we found sustenance. One bacon and egg croissant later, we arrived.
To cut a long and fabulously uninteresting story short (for most of our listeners) I went 2-1 for the day. Not bad at all, the first game was a loss, but against the guy who bought one of my armies. I can hardly be upset with a defeat against an army I collected, built and painted. In fact, Mike borrowed another of my armies so three of my creations were doing battle today. The last two games see-sawed back and forth, but tactics and a little luck helped see me through. We cheered and groaned and both of us had a blast. And I dropped off the rats I painted for Mark, and collected $63 for them. So today is all about profit!
I'm wolfing down Chinese food as I write this, then I'm off to a couple of parties.
Stay fabulous, everyone.
PS - I took your advice, the album does make me feel better.
