Today was a wonderful day.
I had a lot of sleep. I was the only one here. I got to work on time, didn't lose my temper, and didn't make anyone angry (all of these were mentioned in my reprimand yesterday). I got a metric assload of work accomplished, earning several gratitude filled comments from users.
Oh, and someone told me I was like Lloyd Dobbler.
The plans I'm setting in motion are slowly taking root. I have a fair bit of change, and I'm going to tackle it a bit at a time. If I start getting to work on time again, I won't be stressed when I first get there. If I'm not stressed first thing, I'm less likely to snap at people in the morning.
There will be no more walking user's through things on the phone. That way leads to Madness. I'll just find out what's going on, and stop by to take a look. Much stress saved that way.
I'm going to bring in miniatures and some paint, and I will paint during my lunch break. Painting is very soothing, and it will help get the models finished and out of the way. I will do all of this away from my desk in the cafeteria, so I don't get disturbed by user's during my lunch break. The separation of work and lunch is essential. Essential, I say!
Besides, I can stand to be away from the computer for an hour every day.
