Despite getting a slightly late start on the day (and who could blame me, all things considered?) I made it out to Danger Planet and participated in the epic Good v. Evil game. Twelve of us got together to play an epic game of Warhammer. Three smaller games (consisting of 2 on 2 players), would set the conditions for a larger six on six battle. 18,000 points on a side. Most games are played with 2,000 point armies. It was to be an epic battle, but some games took longer than others, and the epic game was postponed. My ally and I did rather well in our game. My die rolling was well above average that day! We were on the verge of losing, but my actions caused the game to end in a draw. Better than nothing! A lot of fun was had by the players, and by the spectators too.
After an afternoon of gaming goodness, I came home and made ready for a party in Salem. That was a very pleasant, happy time. I was a little too tired to fully participate in the events and general boisterousness. Sadly, that seems to happen more and more these days. In the past I'd blame myself for being shy or afraid. Now, I'm just tired. How far I have come... There will be many other chances for me to be boisterous.
Congratulations again to the host and the guests, for providing a truly entertaining evening. Primordial ooze and all...
... I rested.

The first time I left my room for longer than a few minutes was to get dinner, at 9:30. Until then I slept in, chatted on the computer and read e-mail, tested decks, and watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The light turned grey outside my window, and the rain pattered on the roof. Occasionally, white flashes flickered through my blinds, and I heard the rolling call of the thunder.
I love thunderstorms. Absolutely, completely. I love the high winds, and the sheets of rain, and the thunder that rattles your bones, and the lightning that etches itself into your brain for a split second and is gone again. I feel alive and powerful and bursting with energy and happiness. And I can't wait until the next one rolls around...
I also love sushi late at night.
