a brief word...

Just got back from seeing Spider Man. Decent movie, I had fun. I think seeing J. Jonah Jameson was the most fun in the film. Ate a lot of meals out this weekend, shopped for groceries. Also hung out with Mat and Regina which I don't get to do enough of. Just aren't enough hours in the day...
Decided to pair back a bit on the gaming. There's a tournament coming up this weekend. But I won't be there. I'm helping people move, and throwing a cookout instead. Maybe I just have to stay away from competitive play. It sucks that I should have to do so, though. But if it saves me from having stupid meltdowns, then I'm all for it. I'll have more to say later when I'm not quite as cranky or tired.

Work again in seven hours. Joy.

Ahhhh....

I had some good conversations with people today. The pinnacle of the day so far was talking with Sarah just after lunch, and standing on the Summer St. bridge. A sunny warm day, the wind blowing across the water. It blows hard enough to take away the edge of the heat, but not enough to make you cold. It makes your clothes ripples and snap like sails. Drinking in all of these sensations fills your head, blotting out thoughts of boring office work, doubts, criticisms. There's nothing but bliss.
I need to bottle moments like that and keep them stockpiled on my desk so I can crack them open on particularly bad days.

Far better than that, is to go out and experience moments like that again in the flesh.
