It's funny.

My normal mode of greeting people at work was to say "hey" as we passed by. A short, upbeat delivery, and then I'm on my way. After a while I decided that it seemed too abrupt or even dismissive. So I decided to respond with a longer, drawn out "hellooo". I was enable to make this switch in behavior in about two days. Now it's the new default.

If only further behavioral programming was as easy to do as that.

For those of us who find this important:

The first day of Spring is March 21st. The vernal equinox itself is on March 20th.
In either case, the winter has less than 10 days left to it.
