Another day of low-key ass kicking at work. Blowing away problems and issues right and left, having some good conversations, feeling some more old doubts slide out of my body and down into the sewers... be off with you!

You know, if I could isolate the elements of a cold or flu, and just keep that parts that cut out your appetite and give you that pleasant loopy feeling, and package that in pill form with the warning : do not operate while driving or operating heavy machinery.... I'd be a multimillionaire, and you could all come live in my pleasure dome... where Alph the sacred river ran, through caverns measureless to man... down to a sunless sea...

CD Update

Wreath of Barbs is pretty cool... not breaking any new ground, but very pleasant to listen to, in a sometimes spooky sometimes angry kinda way. I also picked up the new Curve CD, and old Skinny Puppy. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the limited edition Front Line album anywhere... hello, Metropolis?
Another reason I'm liking this album: it's a return to an older style of music, not as trance/dance poppy as Covenant or Assemblage 23 or VNV Nation. All of those bands have varying levels of intensity, but almost all of their stuff is dance-oriented. There's no spooky listening music, no crunchiness. I've missed that, and didn't even realize it.
And the funny thing is, I wasn't even planning on buying the album. I was focused on finding the new Front Line Assembly. Then Sarah (who was shopping with me) popped up grinning in from of me. "There are two copies left, one for each of us!"

What the heck I thought.

Again, an impulse decision that paid off very well for me...
For the first time since I've moved to Boston, someone has stolen my lunch.
My sweet and sour chicken with vegetables, homemade? Gone.
There will be no more tech support until my lunch container is returned.

I mean, at least eat the food and leave the container for me!
Thieving bastards.
