Next stop Wonderland
Jun. 3rd, 2001 10:25 pmIt was a sublime and surreal evening. Our hosts had recently purchased a house in southern Massachusetts, and held a party to which I was invited. There were some faces I hadn't seen in some time, and some new faces as well. There was drinking and dancing and good times had by all... or at least by me. While all night parties seem to be losing their appeal, and I suppose the novelty can wear off in time, the bloom is not yet off the rose for me. As long as you can catch up on your sleep...
... though on the way to New Hampshire the next morning, I almost fell asleep several times, awaking to find myself drifting. I arrived intact, and was able to regain enough consciousness to make it home that night. Sometimes you can do or have it all, but that doesn't mean you should.
This weekend there will be another party, but this time I won't have to drive the next day. *grin*
All in all I was very satisfied with this weekend. Good times, another win in the NH tournament (overall champion 2nd time in a row!), and a relaxing day on Sunday. Though I think I'll get a little extra shut eye tonight, to make sure I'm all caught up.
Night!
