Feb. 3rd, 2001 12:04 amSushi. Is there any greater food?
I just filed my taxes today, and Clay got his deposited. So we celebrated that by going to Hana Sushi. It was delicious as always, and I never seem to mind the cost when I go there. You can't put a price on the experience. And I get to return there next week for a date!
Sushi. Concentrated, bite sized happiness. Salmon, yellowtail, shirmp, eel, crab. Everything is so fresh and clear. Each taste permeates your mouth and warms you when it goes down. The sting of the wasabi, the heat of the tea, the cleansing coolness of the ginger, and then... the next mouth watering bite of sushi.
If sex were food, it would be sushi. I feel like lighting up a cigarette every time I leave the restaurnat. I am told the next step is to eat sushi off someone's body. You can even mix the soy sauce in the small of their back (just don't use too much wasabi). I'll have to give that a try someday...
I flirted with the idea of going out tonight, but we got back from dinner around nine, and I was feeling too content to move. I curled up on my futon and watched a movie, then painted a little. Before I knew it, it was almost midnight. Time to write a few notes and slide into dreamland. Except I never seem to stay long. I have a nasty habit of waking early in the morning. Sometimes at 4:30, or 5:30, but never getting a full night's sleep. Fortunately, I can sleep in as much as I want tomorrow.
This was a really good day. I had some nice conversations online, a good run at the gym, a heavenly dinner, and I stayed in on a Friday with no guilt or desire to go out.
Last note to self: Don't worry so much.
