01-02. We first met in my house in Brighton, when Mat was running games. I actually just became aware of you, though, when you started running games.

Well, if it were totally up to me, start out at midday with scrambled eggs and bacon and orange juice and coffee, then I'd spend the early afternoon reading (I never get a chance to read) on your couch, while you painted and K practiced his improv in the next rooms, and we interspersed some probing chatter there. Then we'd clean up the house (more opportunity for talk), and I'd start some big complicated set of hors d'oeuvre and a side dish, and you'd start prepping for the turkey or whatever, and we'd collaborate on some other gravy and potatoes and stuff and fret about the vegans and then say fuck it, and open your house to everyone in our warm circles for Thanksgiving.

It was pretty strange, it was all in Spanish, we were each being pursued by our intersecting sets of demons, and we couldn't seem to convince each other it was just a dream for the other; we kept shouting at each other (in Spanish), "but it's real for you!"

I don't think that you know how much of a saving grace you've been for me. There have been not a few times that you went to bat for me (the time that you took over Thanksgiving when one of ferrets died comes most immediately to mind), and I don't think you really know what that meant to me. I think you're pretty selfless, but I also think you need to be more aware of the good that you do.
