Adieu

At some point today I looked up and realized I had finished up all of my tasks. And on an upset stomach even.

I think the tenor of the week is changing. Good conversation pre ManRay, a strong night of dancing, unexpected breakfasts, the arrival of a DVD at work... all evidence of change. Last night while we drove she said that the winds were angels passing by. A very telling idea, even if angels don't exist. Angels are messengers, after all. The wind storm we had last night was persistent and powerful. I live for windy days and nights, and I felt very alive last night.

By now a different she is on a plane bound for Germany with her boyfriend. She'd probably smack me for referring to him as a boyfriend, but I call 'em like I see 'em. *grin*. She was so happy and animated the last few days, the last time I saw her like that was at the beginning of our own time together. She's gone for a year at least, maybe more. If she finds her happiness over there, she'd be foolish not to stay. I wish her all the best, and besides, she'll never be more than an e-mail away.

Take care, you. Be happy. You've more than earned it.
