Chemicals, man....
I used to think that depression was just about feeling blue, and that if you just toughed it out you can get through it.
But I've come to realize that the human body is a very complex biological machines, and that the chemical processes that go on inside it are very important in affecting your mood. Just my not eating, you can grow tired and depressed, and that's if everything is in top working order! When the chemicals in your body are unbalanced, or missing, they can cause you to be a completely different person. And let's not forget the other obvious chemicals that can alter your perception.
I get these epiphanies at the wierdest time. Just eating today helped clear away some major bad moods. A little clear and focused thought helped too. Maybe eventually, I'll get a chance to do some of that meta-programming that she prizes so highly.

good stuff if not taken too seriously
i don't know why, but i'm remembering all these things i used to practice much more diligently. for a while, i got too lazy. i can't say it was good or bad because it opened up a lot of experiences. but with that come some regrets. c'est la vie.
