jchrisobrien: (big trouble!)

Getting started, and startled

I've been watching the Sarah Conner Chronicles lately, and something at work just struck me. We just upgraded from a T61 to a T510 laptop from Lenovo. As soon as my boss says we are upgrading to the T800 models, I am out the door and heading for the nearest bomb shelter.

My heels are still sore from the running on Tuesday. I'm not limping, but walking isn't comfortable.

Fan uproar is in full swing over the latest issue of Buffy. I almost logged into a forum to start debating the comic, but refrained. It's just amusing (and sometimes aggravating) to see how badly people jump to conclusions, or think they know more about the characters of a series than the owner does.

There are some quesions on how the two series will link up, but most of the uproar revolves around the reveal of Twilight's identity. People are freaking out about it, because their perceptions don't match the writers. The readers don't have the full picture yet, but that isn't stopping them from freaking out.

at this point I don't see how the two series can be brought into sync. in fact, I believe Joss said something to that affect . . . somewhere.

I don't think the two series are being synched up in the same universe. Joss is using a character from that series in Buffy now. Whether it actually is the character or not remains to be seen, but said character did make reference to the events of After the Fall, so it is canon.

I believe I read that only the 1st trade is canon.
