Alacrity actions

In my dream, I was Marcus.  Marcus was an elder vampire who was forced into exile by a rival, female vampire.  Some sort of Conclave was going on, and I showed up to it.  My arrival was met with shocked whispers, and not a few glares.  Most of the people who surrounded me wouldn't be seen near me, lest it be thought they supported me.  A few of the older vampires were quietly my allies, though the didn't speak out against my exile.  Lots of conversations were had, filled with threat and innuendo, which crescendoed into me giving a big speech that was two parts Shakespearian, one part pop culture.  The room was soon cheering my name  "Mar-cus!  Mar-cus!"  My rival, apparently played by the ST, seemed to slowly and graciously be making her exit...

... and then she walked back into the room, brandishing a shot gun, and counting out celerity actions.  She was blasting away at the people who supported me.  I stepped to the side and obfuscated, waiting for my turn to act.  Right around the NINTH celerity action of her first turn, she got to my position.  I told her she couldn't have any more dragon's breath rounds in her gun, at which point she lifted up her hands in some kind of Crinos / Horror form signal.

I put my head down in my hands and sighed.  In the end, it always comes down to this.

I have tried some of the above, yes. To no avail. It does not help I am a RP snob, as you well know. So DnD games of hack n' slash are out of the question. I do not consider (in my snobbery) WoW to be roleplaying, and MUSHes are so time consuming on a regular basis. I would love to find a group that I could meet with every other week or something similar, but alas. No luck.

How are you feeling? Been worried about you btw. Not that this is the appropriate forum for those concerns, but still.

Yeah, we are many of us RP snobs :D Although some occasional hack 'n slash does my brain some good. And WoW, even RP services is not RP, it's crazy people asking blood elves for strip dances for gold :) You're right in Minneapolis, yes? I do have a couple very good friends that I think are moving there in a few weeks, and have had some luck finding gaming groups already. I think they're good RPers. Drop me an email, and I'll see what they've found :)

And I am feeling much better. Better living through chemistry!
