drawing blood

Poi was rather frustrating last night.  I was working on a reverse thread the needle, which mostly resulted in a reverse smacking myself in the face with tennis balls.  I tried to bite down on my temper, and switched out to practicing other things.  In the end, I think I got it, but not before raking my finger with the chain of my poi and gouging some skin out of it.  I took a break from the end of class, and spotted roger and his girlfriend as they were working on some acrobatics.  The slow socialization process begins.

Down With Tempo drew a nice sized crowd, and in the end I had a very good time out.  I broke up the dancing with some socializing, and kept everything on an even keel.  Arcanus and I had a nice talk about the latest Harry Potter book, and I found out that George's friend Eric grew up not to far away from me in Pennsylvania.  There were hugs and smiles and dancing galore.  Special shout outs to Amadea who is back visiting from Chicago, and to metismene who shared my pain in the poi class.  It was great to see the rest of you out dancing too!

Totally off topic: If it's nice enough tomorrow, do we still have plans in the evening?

Yes! What times were you thinking of?

What works for you? I usually get home from work around five. Wanna say seven? Does that give you time to get home, have dinner and unwind? We could do later too, I just don't want to wait too long; wanna have a few good hours before I turn into a pumpkin =)

I have hit myself in those same places. Pain shared is ... still painful!

Thanks for the updates on EriK!
