Bullet time

Weekend in brief:
Dinner party with friends Friday.
Two vicious pummelings (dice!!!) on Saturday, followed by nice conversation with a new friend and dancing with old friends (including a visiting friend from NY).
Sunday, long slow day of recovery, watched Jarhead (ok) and Ultraviolet (MY EYES!!!!ARGH!!!!), cleaned my room and office, another bag of clothes ready to go to Goodwill.

Tonight it's time for poi practice, then Ceremony.

I was under the impression that the only thing Ultraviolet had going for it was that it was pretty.

Sometimes, pretty isn't enough.

Example: The scene where she is fighting the Asian gang on the roof was very pretty, with the bullet animation and the like. It was runied because all the bad guys got in a circle around her, and she dodged all their bullets causing them to shoot each other. This after saying "hemophages aren't superhuman". Yeah, OK Neo. :)

There was no tension in that movie.
