I saw A get on the T this morning at Central. I hadn't seen her in ages, since she vanished out of mine (and mostly everyone else's) life. She seemed to look right through me and stood facing away. Business as usual, I thought. When the train stopped at MIT, she got out, and she finally saw me. Her eyes widened, her mouth curled up in a smile. She didn't really say anything as she walked out, she didn't need to.

She smiled. That was enough.
