Sneaking this in when you're not looking

About two weeks ago, Sara and I had a big cookout. Many of you were there, and many people not reading this. Our house was filled with laughter and sumptuous food. We polished off an impressive amount of sangria and hurricanes, and the guests stayed well into the night. It was one of my better parties, and I have fond memories of it.

The past week was filled with work madness. I mean real madness. No time to think about anything else except work and finding little times to relax, but not to throw down any content. During the weekend, I saw my friend's band play at Emergenzia. They were very polished, and very enjoyable to hear. The crowd was pretty rude, but they did seem to garner a lot of votes. Going to the Paradise for that event made me thankful for the places I go and the scene I'm in. Speaking of which, VI was ON. The Skirt came out to play, I made some new friends, and felt centered and amazing. This bi-weekly thing is going to be great.

Monday I was ill from stress. Tuesday I was an utter basket case from stress. Wednesday the stress began to recede, and by the end of the day today I was back on top of things at work. The maelstrom has passed. Lo and behold, a new weekend is here that promises to be very exciting.

It's good to be back.

You're coming to XMortis, right?

I love that we seem to have something going every weekend.. XMortis.. Machine.. Toast on those odd nights. I was chatting with a friend of mine the other day who is not in the scene. I was chatting about Club Hell in Providence and how I went a few weeks ago and he made a good point. He commented, "It seems like there's so many more events you go to since ManRay closed". I'm not sure if it's because ManRay closed, so I do more things.. or it's because more things have started happening since ManRay closed. Really Xmortis and Machine are spin-offs, if you will, but they sound like different events to my friend because they're not at ManRay. *shrug* Just thinking out loud.. we now return you to your regularly scheduled program. :)
