Getting a flat tire can suck all the fun out of an evening.
So can being snubbed by an old semi-flame.

I'd like to get a break from the Universe, but she isn't listening.
So I guess I'll fucking have to make my own.

The universe has its own mysterious ways of making things happen. Perhaps we don't always see the meaning or lesson(s) during the time it/they take place, but we always have something to gain from the knowledge. Just keep your eyes, ears and heart open to what the morning wind is telling you.

So far, it's telling me that "big" problems can have simple solutions.
It puts perspective on things that go wrong, and what I have control over.
It shows me that sometimes "big" things aren't so big after all.

This lesson cost me [the price of a tire and labor]. It will be worth it if I remember it.
