Putting the living back in livejournal.

Standing behind Mishak's bar is choice location for a party, especially if there is a wine tasting going on.  People come by all the time for wine, so conversations are plentiful, including a great one with A. about his time down in Biloxi, Ma.  You get to make reccomendation to people based on wines you taste, what the quickest going bottles are, and whether some wines should be avoided or not.  There's a little space between you and the crowd if you start feeling claustrophobic.  It also makes a great backdrop for pictures.  I'll have a new icon coming my way pending iterum's approval.  The only downside is that the wine can be consummed very quickly, which makes leaving a difficulty.  By the time I was driveable again, it was well past three.  You think the night ended there, but all of a sudden having pancakes became a Moral Imperitive.  So we did.  They weren't going to win any awards for bestest pancakes ever, but the had blueberries, and my stomach was very grateful for something sold after all that time.

The biggest benefit of expensive wine over cheap wine is the lack of hangover the next day.  My body was appreciative again.

Our DND game involved lots of sneaky trapped doors that almost cost us a party member, until I recalled him from the hell he was sent to.  We began a big boss fight, which was quickly growning tedious as our opponent kept healing every time we killed him.  It wasn't until the end of the session that I had an item that would have nullified his healing item.  Curse my metal body, I was too slow!  The arrival of the Big Big Boss, as well as the Big Boss we were expecting, holds the prospect of an imminent and messy doom for the rest of us, or a really kick ass ending to our current story.  The moral here is : remember your inventory.

Yesterday I took off work to hang out with Tegin and have an Angel marathon, along with tasty dip, mimosas, and Strongbow.  We covered about 10 episodes, we were both a little down that we didn't finish off the first season entirely, but we did benefit from Theamazingjb's Mexican dinner and comapny.  Tegin and I capped the night off with a Thud-delicious night at Ceremony.  More good new music discovered!  More joy that I can still dance after not having gone out in two weeks!  More awesome remixes of NIN and Ghostbusters!

Who are YOU gonna call?

Damn, that does sound good. James and I recently went to TN, which he let me pick the trip music. I got to bring one of my techno burns, and the youngest went nuts! It had some pretty interesting mixes of Duran Duran and the such on it.

I have to amend my earlier post, as the song that should go with "Jump Around" may in fact be "Insect/Suspect" by Pigface.

This is just to preserve what little street cred I have left!

Nice to hear you're getting you kids hooked on the classics!
