Alright, something positive

The thunderstorm that missed us last night hit us right now. I was ready for it, just wearing shorts and sandals, standing and letting the rain plaster all over me. It might have been the only storm I got to run around in this year.

GOD, that felt good.

I miss the storms of Florida, out on the beach. The thunder so loud it vibrated the sand, the wind whipping, the rain pelting, the lightning so bright that it lights up everything brighter than day. I miss sitting out there on the dunes, watching them come in, the waves rising to heights that make surfers stand in awe. Perhaps one day I will see them again.

I've seen storms like that in the Outer Banks. That's reason enough to go down with my family every year. Couldn't do it this year, but maybe next.

We didn't have the high waves though. That would be a nice addition.

From what I have seen online of the Outer Banks, it looks wonderful. Lucky dog. The high waves give it an energy rush like never before.

If I'm lucky some weekend I can go up to Rockport to visit a friend, and maybe watch a nor'easter do it's thing. I haven't experienced a good new england storm on the water yet!

While on Lake Erie, I got to see the beginnings of the Nor'easter, but never on the water. I think that would be quite lovely, especially since I am a cold weather baby, lol.
