No, more like ten days. Yikes.

A lot has happened. The labyrinth that is the 1040 tax form was traveled, mapped, and conquered. Wars were won and lost, and my position remains the same (more proof was gained that my dice do perform well and poorly, as dice are wont to do). Fantasy Factory continued on in the fine tradition of being a good time. My first performance (from the howls of the audience) seemed to be well received. Saturday night was a return to the thrilling days of yesteryear, with accompanying tight pants and tall boots for a dressy party. Nathan Fillon would be in envy of my pants! Sunday saw the purchasing of the new VNV Nation album and Return of the King. Too much time was spent indoors, and alone. Monday remedied that with the Return of the Roommate, Buffy viewing, and more dancing at Ceremony.

There you have it, all the news that's fit to print. All the hurdles I had to jump through last week are behind me. The week stretches onward, with some very pleasing lights in the distance. More regular entries will soon follow.

Will you be out tomorrow night shaking your groove thang at the club?

I won't be out this Wed., but I'll be out Friday working (and shaking!) in the front room. I'm hoping to stop by Singularity for a bit this evening, in Union Sq.

Is the front room still closed on Wed.?

Don't think I've heard of that one...I must live under a rock. How's the music? The front room has still been closed on Wed. nights :(

Singularity plays electronic music (once known as IDM) and some breakbeats. The music alternates between really danceable, and really listenable (both are good things). The space itself (Toast) has lots of dark, candlelit alcoves and comfortable seating. The dance floor is small, but workable.

I think the location and the day of the week conspire to keep people away, but I'm going to try to get there while the getting's good.

Are you going out this Friday? I know you'll be at the Ball. ;)

Sounds fun. My play opens this Friday, so I don't think I'll be there. But I will be there Sat. afternoon for a bit to help with the clean up.

I used to do theater back in Pa, and for a little bit in Boston. What show are you in? Most of my shows were musicals, but I had a small part in a regular play.

Thanks! Where in Boston did you do theatre? I mainly do musicals myself. Currently, I am in "Once on this Island." I also direct/choreograph. I will be taking a break from theatre for a while to concentrate on my band.

I performed with a troupe in Bedford doing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" with my roommate at the time (I was a brother/Pharoah). We also did a show with The Footlight Club in Jamaica Plains "The Myster of Edwin Drood".

Past shows include Hello Dolly, Man of La Mancha, Brigadoon (one of my favorites), Godspell, Quilt, and Little Shop of Horrors (as the puppeteer of Audrey II!)

Shows I'd love to do: Jesus Christ Superstar, The Secret Garden, Chess, Jeckyll&Hyde, Sunset Blvd.

Nice! I've been in Hello Dolly and Little Shop-(One of my fav shows! I was Crystal...one of the Divas lol) I've never heard of Quilt. What's that one about?

A few past shows I've done: Anything Goes (2x), Fiddler on the roof, Honk!,Working (2x). I've also done some Shakespeare (The Tempest and Taming of the Shrew).

Shows I'd like to do: Cabaret, Chicago, Les Mis, Into the Woods, Media (non-musical)

What's your favorite musical that you have seen? I think mine would be either Chicago or Les Mis. I saw Phantom Recently, but I wasn't really wow'd by it like I had hoped.

It must be quite the rush to do Shakespear. I auditioned for Into the Woods, but never got in. Les Mis would be pretty incredible too.

My favorite musical scene was probably Les Mis, but I might have to go with Jeckyll&Hyde. There's nothing like closing the first act by setting someone on fire!

Quilt was being workshopped for Broadway, but I don't know if it ever made it there. They play was about the AIDS quilt, how each part of the quilt told it's own story. There was a series of about 12 to 16 scenes, woven together by two larger parts. My character's boyfriend died of AIDS. He always seem to have the answers, and I believed that in the afterlife, he knew ALL the answers. Which made me happy.

It is quite the rush doing Shakespeare. You need to have a good director though.
I ran some lights for a show once called "The inner circle." Sort of a simular plot to Quilt, but a non-musical.
I've never seen Jeckyll&Hyde, although I own the show shirt because my sister brought it back from NY when she went to see it.
