Paid vacation days are sweet.

My debut on the stage of ManRay was lots of fun.  I flashedback to my theater days as I listened to the coreography, worked through the rehearsals, and felt the slight nervous rush as the music blared over the speakers and we went live.  A great night overall.

Saturday was a long day of playtesting a new army list, and a last minute gathering of some Arlington folk for movies.  I had a gushingly cute "I-love-you-guys" post written in my head, but I left it there.  Gushing pizza rolls and sangria make for good compliments to zombie movies!

Sunday.  Lots of painting and some food shopping.  A rather stressful game of DND for all involved.  There was no actual combat, except within the party. Steps will be taken to resolve that next game.

Monday: more painting, and a crushing defeat against an old warhammer buddy. My dice betrayed me at every turn. This means that I've built up enough karma to make my next game more enjoyable. I'm trying to view my bad dice rolls as earned karma to be payed off later in the game. It's all about the little mental tricks and techniques. Like the Bene Gesserit, except I don't have to shave my head or be female.

Tonight saw my return to the gym and my increased cardio set, followed by a lovely sushi dinner and great conversation with Canongirl. Good times!

Curses! Foiled again!

... and I missed it?! It seems that *last* week was indeed the week to be there. =/ Glad to hear it went well, though!

So... random questions... which army list type? And painting... what? or who?

I ask because this winter past has seen me sucked into the world of Warhammer.. and painting... (well, truth be told, I'm not quite at the actual *painting* part (yet), but I'm having far too much fun with the green stuff and advising/helping with conversions and eyeing the stack of Things To Be Painted and Stuff to Tranform Into Interesting Terrain.)

Call me curious. =)

*hugs*

p.s. Will you be at ManRay this week?
