Last night was a craptacluar evening. There was good dancing, and music, and some good people.
There was also lots of being ignored and distant. Also, as a topper, my car was towed. Which pretty much pushed it over into the sucking part.
The Universe is not a happy, shiny place. Sometimes there are bright stars and nebulae in it. But mostly, the Universe is a cold void. Mostly.
