Will write for food

After trying a few of these, I found it's rather addicting. So, I’m going to post the pro-active version of this meme.

I will write an imaginary memory of you, if you leave a request in this journal. You can either suggest a memory, or let me make one up. Your call.

I can remember the first time I met you, at that Nitzer Ebb concert in Philadelphia. Remember, back when they opened for Depeche Mode. Damn, that was a great concert. There was this little pit in front of the stage, and kids were jumping around, smashing into each other like bumper cars, back when dancing was a full contact sport. So, I was knocked off balance during "Where is the Youth" and I grabbed onto someone's shirt to steady myself and BAM! Your elbow connected right on my chin and knocked me over. There was soon a tangle of kids stepping all over me, but you eventually helped me up to my feet. We made our way to the edge of the pit, and you asked how I was, and I said "semi-conscious."

We talked through most of the Depeche Mode concert, not really paying much attention because we were there for Nitzer Ebb. We bragged about who had seen Skinny Puppy more, and who know more about industrial, and you trumped me because I never heard of Coil. Eventually the subject of schools came up. You told me you went to Bryn Mawr, and I said I never heard of it. "Oh, mostly we get all dressed up at night and sit around singing songs." I didn't believe you, but you told me to come up and see for myself.

I'll be damned if you weren't right. They have majors for everything, it seems.
