Will write for food

After trying a few of these, I found it's rather addicting. So, I’m going to post the pro-active version of this meme.

I will write an imaginary memory of you, if you leave a request in this journal. You can either suggest a memory, or let me make one up. Your call.

Imaginary memory

*grin* Yes, please. I'm quite curious to see what you will come up with... ;)

One time, at Burning Man... I could leave the story right there, but that wouldn't do it justice. There were so many wonderful memories, it being my first time there, and you the veteran guiding me through it. Veteran, mentor, sensei, all that and more. The memory that sticks out was at Pelican Camp. They had erected that metal sculpture in the sand, cloth and ropes dangling and swaying from it. I still can't believe that carted all that metal all the way into the desert, the important thing was that it was solid and real, and I need a little anchoring at that time of the night.

I looked toward the campfire, at the painted and tattooed and metal skewered bodies that leapt around the fire. My eyes picked you out at last, the firelight turning your skin bone white and your hair gold. You drifted from boy to girl, laughing and loving freely. Then you spun by yourself, dancing with your arms raised, and you were right in front of the fire, and then you became the fire, flames licking around your limbs and blazing in your hair and your song rising up to the heavens and I could have sworn you were consumed by the flames.

I close my eyes, but even then I could see you burning brightly. Then the light dimmed, and I felt fingers clawing down my chest. I opened my eyes and you were ther, staring at me with kindess and concern, and the firelight haloed you hair, and even then you glowed.
You drew me forward with a smile and a kiss, joining the dancers around the fire, and the time for anchoring was gone.

Wow, my imaginary memory was added to your real memories. How meta! :)
