Will write for food

After trying a few of these, I found it's rather addicting. So, I’m going to post the pro-active version of this meme.

I will write an imaginary memory of you, if you leave a request in this journal. You can either suggest a memory, or let me make one up. Your call.

could you write one for me?

My favorite memormy of you covers the time you were working at the Footlight Club in Jamaica Plains. I think I remember seeing you at Manray, but I never had the chance to talk to you. After I was cast in their production of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" I stopped by the costume department to get fitted as, as the show goes, "there you are!"
I didn't say anything about seeing you at the club at that time, but one night you were coming off the dance floor, and you did a double take when you saw me. Sure, you called me by my character's name, but that just made it more memorable!

We hung out a lot at the theater, especially during dress rehearsals. The smell of freshly cut wood and paint, the dust in the air, gazing out at the old wooden seats. You could feel the history in every inch of the old theater. You often hung out in the second row, working on costumes and chatting with the music director.

I can remember one Saturday performance, when I tore a seam on my jacket during one of the dance numbers. You performed some emergency surgery backstage, holding a penlight between your teeth while you Macguyvered it together with some safety pins and a littl thread. I was just in time getting back on stage.

And, of course, there was the cast parties. What more need be said?
