The night started so well...
Was it an illusion? I fear so. One that can be comforting to look at, but melt away at the touch.
On a different note.
I didn't get to say goodbye to you, not really.
But you and I danced to one last song.
And I saw you look at me.
And I looked back at you.
And I remembered you smiling and laughing, genuinely happy for the first time in a while.
And that made me so happy.
I'm so happy to be part of your life.
