jchrisobrien: (big trouble!)

The worst part about getting a flat tire

wasn't the cost of repairing it (just under $250 for two tires, an alignment, mounting, and disposal of the old tire).

It's wasn't the half day or full day of work I'll miss.

It's standing up Sirendipity for drinks! That was the worst part. Well, I did arrive there half an hour late, but still. I need a cell phone.

But maybe after I recoup my tire costs.

I danced a fair bit last night, but my God the club looked empty. The music was decent though. I haven't heard an entire night of Chris spinning in a while. He played a lot of favorites, nothing new, but I could dance.

The cover charge has gone down a dollar. $5 to get in, $2 with flyer. Maybe if a bunch of people come out and flood the club, and put up with the boring music for a month or two, they will see business come back and open up the front again.

Clap your hands if you believe in the front room!

It's generally a slow time in clubland thihs time of year. People have finals, no one has any money, etc.

I agree. In addition to the bad weather, finals, and lack of money there's the shitty economy (people are finally running out of unemployment), and the smoking ban. All of these things coming together hurt the clubs. But I don't think it will kill them.

I know you're pretty much done with the scene, but you were an awesome DJ when you played there.
I say it a lot, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Thanks! It was fun while it lasted (except for the drive home... that was NO FUN.)
