Sleep Mode

This was a quiet weekend. Friday's mage game was quite small, but a lot of fun. New elements were introduced and the time table advanced towards it's harrowing conclusion. Several of the players showed up as NPC's which is always fun. I resisted the urge to go clubbing that night, and relaxed around the house. Kahula and milk is fast becoming one of my favorite relaxation drinks.

Saturday was given over to a pre-release V:TES tournament. I made it to the finals with my chose deck, and hung in there until one big mistake cost me the game. 3rd out of 18 is just fine, considering I haven't played in a year, according to the people who saw me Saturday.

Today I had to work really hard to get anything done at all. My plans to hang out with M fell through, but I really liked having the day to myself. I made it to the gym, cleaned the house and attic a little, and in general luxuriated in doing Nothing. The week is filling up rather quickly with events, so a day of rest is all for the best.

It feels like card playing might edge out war gaming for a while. The last league I was in was unfulfilling at best, and I haven't had the urge to paint anything for a while. And Cris has pointed out a number of books I might enjoy reading.
So many hobbies, so little time....

Oooh Kahlua and milk is one of my favourite drinks :) I admire your gym-going efforts: I have been a member of a gym for two months, but haven't been once yet, doh!

Last week panned out pretty well, I've managed to go three times in a week. I hope to keep that ball rolling. If I look at it as a necessary part of my day (for keeping my energy levels and mood elevated), I'm less likely to blow it off for things. All my hanging out and visiting has to occur after I return from the gym.

I may pick up some Bailey's Irish Cream once I run out of Kahlua, that's also a favorite. Especially poured over ice cream!

Yeah, apparently your body releases some really good chemicals when you exercise which makes it physically very difficult to be unhappy. As I work on the third floor of a building my exercise constitutes running up and down stairs to get cups of tea - yay for tea addiction!

I noticed that someone also commented on Brandy Alexanders - imho one of the best drinks ever made, they are simply divine!!! Have never tried Bailey's on ice-cream, but guess what I'll be having for dessert tonight... ;)

That's possible the best reason I can think of for working out. Chemicial high! Tea is also a good addiction to have.

Photiq is an connoisseur of fine alcoholic beverages. That might have to become a winter staple. It might just replace the kahlua and milk! I'll need to get a shaker if I'm going to make it.

Let me know how your tasty desert comes out! :)
