Honestly, I usually have problems talking to people in clubs. If I don't have a topic, I end up just smiling and wandering away after the initial "hi how are you"'s are done. So I lurk and/or dance, or else just leave if I'm not having a good time. Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye, and sorry for being somewhat obnoxious, I was attempting (badly) to cheer you up.
Btw, my nick doesn't have any letters capitalised, I think cause it started as an irc nick. Do you prefer silas7 or Silas7? I've been finding that I tend to put everyone's nicks in lowercase if I don't lj user tag them, cause that's how they turn out when I do that, and now I'm realising that I'm assuming that's how everyone prefers it. So, I ask. :)
