IMO... Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT!!!

Ahem.

Terminator was a gritty sci fi movie, dark and primitive in it's special effects, but well written and engaging.
Terminator 2 was much slicker, shinier, had cooler effects, but wasn't quite up to par with the first one.

Terminator 3 takes the best of both films, blends them together into a rug, lets you walk on it, then pulls itself out from under you. The good writing from the first movie is here. The good special effects from the second are here too, but the movie isn't shiny and bright. It's gritty, muted slightly, and foreboding. It also pokes fun at itself a lot, show you familiar scenes in the mythology (how the Terminator gets it's clothes) but making them fresh and amusing. Then after a few funny points, it will get very serious and dramatic. There's also a creeping inevitability in the movie, a constant countdown as the movie advances. I'm not going to go into details, but the ending of the movie was absolutely phenomenal. That's all I can say. Because you are going to have to see it for yourselves. My mage group will especially like the movie. *evil grin*

I'm still surprised at how good the film was. So good that I will go see it again, at full price, at Fenway.

It's that good.

Where should you see it: Fenway Theaters, any time!

Are you on crack!

It was *awful* it totally pissed on any sense of the first movie, and didn't even the *acting* in the second movie was better. It was TERRIBLE! By -far- the worst T movie yet.... They could of spent a little less money on the crain wreck scene, and perhaps put a little twords plot creation, or actors, and -maybe- had something...

I didn't like it as much as T2, but it's a close call -- I had a blast watching it, too.
