Snow Emergencies and TempleCon
We were inundated with snow on Tuesday, and I spent another couple hours digging out the driveway. Matt came over for some more Rock Band, we enjoyed the new David Bowie songs. It could be time to have another Rock Band party (maybe in March, February is done booked up). Wednesday wanted to be a huge snow day, and I got to work from home, but the promised Snowpocalypse was a lie. There was a lot of ice, I don't know how bad it was for the rest of the drivers. Thursday I finished off the repair work and painting for this weekend's tournament, which I'm off to in a few hours.
This will be my first Genre Con in a long time, maybe ten years since I last went to Dragon Con in Atlanta? Thinking of Rock Band and Warhammer, both are past times that seem to be fading out. I do have a few regular band members, but people don't seem as excited by the game as they used to. Warhammer has also seen a lot more players dropping out due to changes in the game. I'm not ready to start playing the new hot miniatures game; I'm enjoying myself plenty and have lots of things to paint up still. Hobbies ebb and flow, the game will always be there.
Here's to a Weekend of Adventure!
