Update fail!
One week later, a week of some disappointments. Several e-mails sent about hanging out and keeping in touch went unanswered, or answered very late. It's a good thing that I have plenty of things to keep me occupied with! There was a magnificent birthday dinner at Bitsuteki for my roommate, and Xmortis on Friday. The night started slowly, with Sara and I barely recognizing anyone, but eventually some familiar faces appeared, and everything ended on a very contented note. Not to mention, Rocking out until about 5 in the morning!
Saturday I saw a friend of mine realize a long time dream of opening up his own gym. Crossfit Fenway is just down the street from Machine, which lends itself to some really funny scenarios. I went to the demonstrations, came home for dinner, then back out with theamazingJB and Pax Industria for the evening cocktail reception and fire spinning. Lots of hugs and happiness all around me. We ended the night in Natick, where Pax's GPS came to the rescue after my map failed me. Chris' apartment was very cozy, and the food was amazing, if far from healthy! Our night ended early (all night rock star behavior will do that to you). This time our neighbor's were the ones having an epic party all night long. Turnabout is fair play after all, and I didn't need to be anywhere.
Sunday was an abbreviated DND session, generating new characters (oh nameless war mage, you have so little time left already), then heading home for cleaning and painting. Monday could have been a very busy day, but I still had sleep to catch up on, and all my nights this week are spoken for in some way: game, movies, holiday and birthday parties. Let's not even get into the business of the weekend yet!
