False starts and messy endings
Friday night kicked off with a birthday celebration in a rather swank house. Our stumbly walk to Harvard Sq. was filled with amusement, but some communications problems led to an angry end to the evening. (Fences were mended on Monday, so all is well in the world.)
Saturday I carpooled up to New Hampshire for a small Warhammer tournament. I tied for first place and brought some swag home, then turned around and went to Jaded with Prettyasacarcrash. The night was a lot of fun, and I ran into more familiar faces than I was expecting, which is always a plus. The music was great, dancers (and dancing!) was fun, and amusing stories were told. I look forward to checking it out again.
Sunday was devoted to cleaning and organizing so my roommate could come home to a clean house, then off to DND. It always seems to be the case that when you set up an encounter for a party that meant to be obviously too hard for them, they still go running in anyhow. Two PC deaths, one NPC, and one near PC death later, we found some unexpected allies and are ready to continue. Hopefully, a lot more cautiously this time!
Back to the grind, and to Spinjam tonight. I'd say here's hoping things are better, but I don't want to leave anything to "hope".
