How thoughtless of me!
You're all waiting on those answers from the weekend.
Yes, I did forget five shields at home. This would not prove to be a problem.
Yes, I did find an excellent sushi/hibachi restaurant, in the same mall as the tournament! The fish was so fresh and tasty we ate there twice. Standouts include the samurai drink (vodka and plum wine), two incredibly hot waitresses, and most importantly the crystal roll: White tuna maki with white tuna on top. Those of you know who've seen me eat white tuna know what effect this would have. Cigarette, please.
Yes, I did make to Swerve (very small attendance, but lots of good friends. It was like having a private party). There were tales of victory (2 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss, 14th out of 53 people).
Other memorable moments included getting within 15 miles of the place and taking every single possible wrong turn to add about 2 hours to our driving time and losing a game of poker in two hands, after being dealt pocket 2's and pocket 10's. It was an excellent time, and I can't wait to go down again. Best of all, this event is one exit away from my aunt's house, so the next time I go down for Christmas I'm going back for more sushi!
I poked my head out for Thud, but just wasn't feeling it. I made it back to the gym yesterday, and I AM feeling that. We celebrated the Inauguration with pizza and champagne at work. I was very nervous as Barack took the oath, but all my concern melted away when I heard his address.
