Going out like a lion

I was out sick all day Friday, and the cold didn't let up.  No Ground to Dust live performance for me, which was a damn shame.

Saturday I felt a little better.  Went out for a very chaotic 40k which ate up all of the afternoon.  I liked the huge format, but it would work better with fewer people.  I rested up for the night, and watched Rent with my roommate.  I really enjoyed in when I was in college, and would often sign along with my roommate  (Living in America was always fun to do).  Seeing what was going on during the songs really helped fill in the blanks about what was going on.  I was still moved by a lot of the songs, it brought back some of the happier memories of State College.
I decided to honor La Vie Boheme in my own way, by dancing at the burlesque night at Machine.  The evening was a surprising amount of good times.  More good conversations, dancing, music, and company, even with a lot of the usual suspects absent.  Special shout out to Eeyrg for her first night there!
Sunday was DND: getting the ball rolling on a new story arc, picking up our commissioned gear, and finding out the Chinese don't much appreciate our pirate exploits.  I crammed in some food shopping before bed.

Work started out slow, then cruised along pleasantly, and has now ended on  a big pile of suck.  The new image isn't working, other laptop's won't read discs, the new network boot disc is crapping out too.  The work day is fired.  Only poi and steampunk can save me now.
