momentary euphoria
There was a moment last night, between leaving the supermarket and getting in my car, when the wind blew across the parking lot. It covered me from head to toe, and I got a chill of how right things were at that very moment. That blissful feeling rushed over my skin, electric. There was no doubt or concern, just an overwhelming feeling that Life was Good.
The feeling vanished when I sat down behind the wheel. Vanished isn't the right word, it receeded. Life can't be a constant state of bliss, after all. Life is a mixed bag all the time. This was just a moment when everything looked rosy, as opposed to when every looks dark.
