My roommate the genius
Clay moved the desk from the porch into the living room and put the server and scanner on it. He also has a new printer sitting on the dresser that was the old computer table. It looks so sharp, I can't believe we didn't figure this out three years ago.
Today was spent sleeping in after a fabulous night of dancing. I made my way out to Danger Planet for a playtest game with Mike. It was an epic sized battle, with much carnage on both sides. We wrote down our observations and will send it out to GW, so they can make changes to the army we are working on.
While the tournament on Saturday went rather well, the card tournament on Sunday was more stressful. More attitude adjustment will have to take place. For those who wonder why games are so frustrating, the card game I play is a multiplayer game. In a one on one game, you only have to worry about your opponent. In this game, there are three other people who are all trying to win. Deals are made, alliances form and shift. If you do too well, other players will gang up on you and eliminate you. That is where the most frustration comes in, when you get double teamed. The best way to deal with it is to try to win, and take some satisfaction that everyone thinks you are so dangerous.
Not taking it seriously also works wonders, so I am told. *grin
What it comes down to is competition. Whether it is basketball, getting a new position at work, or playing games, the element of competition can drag you down.
Damn, sleep is interfereing with my coherent thought. Time enough tomorrow to flesh things out, and comment on the rest of my weekend.
